What on Earth are we doing?

Fantasy_Street Art_Literacy

Aytozee has been in the works since 2009 but, honestly, I was too lazy in my youth to really get it off the ground. But now, things are different. The time has come to get this thing going and bring you all along with me.

I wear t-shirts almost to the exclusion of any other upper-body clothing. Long sleeved, short sleeved, with a hood, without a hood, I’ve tried them all. My favourite band, sports, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, a podcast I listen to, there is nothing I like that I won’t shout to the world through my carefully wrapped torso.

I love t-shirts so much that I decided to try and make shirts I that I want to see, and try and do some good whilst doing it.

Children who enjoy reading and writing enjoy a higher level of mental wellbeing. Children who live in areas with serious literacy challenges are also more likely to have a lower life expectancy (https://literacytrust.org.uk/information/what-is-literacy). We aim to provide additional funds for charities aiming to resolve these issues and give children the opportunity to gain the benefits of literacy and the joys that reading and writing can bring.

So here we are. Putting into the world kick ass t-shirts with graphics designed by some awesome street artists, depicting things the world should see and in a way that encourages kids to read along. You get to look great and we get to pass some cash over to an organisation that will help kids develop their creative literacy skills in a world where they might not usually get that opportunity.

Join us, won’t you?
